Construction industry blogs
 – Digital marketing for construction

Have you ever felt that you wanted to let it all out and trumpet some great truth to the world at large? Well, start a blog. Anyone can do it – and you don’t need to buy any software to get started.

Blogging is a great way to comment about construction industry issues and to have your say. But apart from the cathartic effect it can have, a blog can be an excellent way to get your company’s news out into the wider world and to build your credibility as a trusted commentator on your speciality – building products, construction industry legislation – whatever.

Blogging is a real-time activity – you write your piece, you upload it and then it’s there for everyone to see. But blogs continue to exist long after they are posted, so if you have put important keywords into your blog [Like ‘blogging for construction companies’ or ‘construction marketing‘ or ‘marketing for construction‘ for example] and tagged it for those too, you are likely to attract readers for a long time after. If they read your blog, like what you say or want further information about you, provided you tie the blog to your company’s web site, you’re likely to generate an interested visitor.

There are all sorts of ways you can promote your blog that I won’t go into here. Suffice it to say that if you work at it, provide good content that amuses or educates, which serves the reader and provides something they want, the chances are that your blog will not only drive prospects to your website but will ultimately lead to business.

As ever, it’s a good idea to get started before the rest of the field do. There aren’t very many construction industry-related blogs out there in the ether at the moment, so now’s the time to start. And if you can’t handle the technology, then let us help you. You provide the content, we’ll do the rest. We can even provide editing services for you if your grammar isn’t too good!
